Re-Paddle in Slovenia

Believe it or not, this paddle is made from a fallen tree branch, at Freefall we use a lot of wood materials that are not at all suitable for the commercial wood industry. In this case we used fallen tree branches from an Acatia tree and Oak from an old desk. This is a true Re-Paddle where our goal is to re-use old wood materials or wood not suitable for the commercial industry which is usually pulped and left to rot. We prefer our use of the wood and it looks better too. Each Re-Paddle is 100% unique, and all are completely hand made.

Re-Paddle in Slovania

Slovenia is such a wonderful location for paddling, just look at the colour of the water, the Soca is also one of the most exciting rivers to be paddled in Europe. Truly, an awesome paddling location, with wonderful people and great camping spots.

Good Day On The Water.

Osaigen Canoe, Sandline Gear and a Freefall Paddle in Slovenia, now thats a good day on the water.

Merbau Crank Beavertail

This is a stock paddle from Freefall. Its a cranked Merbau Beavertail. When we came across the wood Merbau, we had little or no knowledge of the wood, its major property is it holds onto its natural oil so its considered Termite Proof for house construction in the states, and it floats really well in the water. With a rich orange red colour, so far people love it, even if it is a little heavier than Ash.

Dave in the US

The Re-Paddle in the US

One of the characteristics of the Re-Paddles, is that they are all absolutely hand made, every one has its quirks and traits. In Dave's case, we made his paddle with a short paddle face, so he can power stroke in rocky rivers, and gain the maximum reach with every stroke. Although we have made the blade shorter, we made it wider and slightly more contoured to catch and release water. These blades are super fast in the hands of a regular paddler, and in the hands of a practices white water paddler, they make boat control effortless and strokes super fast.

All Boats Welcome :)

We are all paddlers in Freefall, and we love the whole motion of the Canoe & Kayak, in fact, we incorporate it in all of our designs, and we even produce outfitting. Our boat stock for testing includes creekers and river boats, OC1's and C1's as well as trad canoes.

The Wedge Grip

This is our "Wedge Grip", just one of the innovations we are trying at Freefall. The idea behind the grip is the shape your hand makes when clasping on a grip. from small fingers to large closing in your hand, we found it made a wedge shape and we decided to make a few paddles with this unique shape, and the "Wedge Grip" was born, so far all the people who have tried it have said its odd in the hand initially, buy you grow used to it very quickly and it reduces hand and finger fatigue, especially on longer trips on colder days, and in Europe we have loads of those.

Who's it for? Those looking for the ultimate paddle performance

History Message

So we have all been paddling for some time and we have had good and bad paddles. At Freefall, we did not set up to make the best paddles in the world, just awesome paddles, pushing design and innovation with every blade. Every paddler has their preference, and all we want to do is, produce the best paddle for our paddlers.

Our paddles are being used all over the globe since 2015, with units shipping to Russia, The States & Canada, Ireland and the UK, and even the in middle East and Asia.

As you can see from some of the paddles on the site, our designs are new and innovative, trying new shapes and blade edges. With the advent of new canoeing styles, such as short boat white water open canoes, new designs were needed for faster, more dynamic and effective paddling strokes, and we hope, we have brought something new to the market.

When you get a chance, try one of our paddles, and tell us what you think, as that's how we innovate, maybe our paddles are not for you, try a competitors, as there are great paddle manufacturers out there apart from ourselves, but whatever you do, get the right paddle for you, and we will look forward to catching up with you on the water.

Cya Soon.
